Snapping Away at the Miracle Art 3D Museum

Miracle Art Imus

If you’re a frequent visitor of this blog, you know that I love visiting museums. Art displays, historical exhibits, miniature architectural pieces – name it, I marvel at it. So when a chance to visit another kind of museum came up, I grabbed it.

Miracle Art 3D Museum

Miracle Art, Exhibition 1st in Cavite. When I first saw this big sign in The District Ayala Mall in Imus, I scrunched my forehead. Then when I read “A loving family, with your lover to create unforgettable memories Miracle Art Exhibition,” I laughed. I’m sort of a grammar nazi, but even if you’re not, you’d see that this sign doesn’t make much sense. When I saw the brochures for said exhibition, I laughed some more. It’s full of interesting, funny lines such as:
Get into the optical illusion art which is alive and moving
Miracle Art is a new type museum recording (say what?!)
Makes unbelievable and precious memories with your lovely family and lover
Use your imagination and create a mysterious secret all your own!

To be fair, the owner of the establishment is a Korean national so English is not his strong suit. And once I was inside the museum, I forgot all my previous judgments and unabashedly enjoyed the place.

Miracle Art is a 3D art museum with several 3D paintings, optical illusions that provide cool backdrops to selfies and groufies. The District Ayala Mall branch which I visited was small and has about 20 paintings inside but I heard that the Cebu branch (I’m not sure if this is still open) had 80 murals. Museums like this are popular in other parts of Asia, particularly in South Korea where they are called ‘trick eye’ museums.

The entrance fee to the museum is PHP 200 but the Imus branch had a promo when my family and I visited. We paid only PHP 150 each. Not bad, considering I’ve taken hundreds of photos for myself and my sisters. We’ve totally made the most of the small space.

If you’re a fan of taking silly photos (who isn’t?!), visit Miracle Art. If you have kids and kids-at-heart in the family, this is highly recommended. Do check their Facebook page before visiting because they change locations at least once a year. As of writing, there are still branches in The District Ayala Mall Imus, Starmall Bulacan, and Market! Market! Taguig.
